Frequently Asked Questions

Everything patients ask before their first visit — answered the way we'd want it answered for our own family.

How quickly can I be seen?

Our standard is an evaluation within the same week you call — usually within 2–3 business days, and faster for post-surgical and auto accident patients.

What happens at the first visit?

A 60-minute evaluation: your history, movement and strength testing (computerized where useful), a working diagnosis explained in plain language, your first treatment, and a written plan with an expected visit count and timeline.

Do I need a referral to start?

In most cases no — Michigan direct access allows up to 10 visits or 21 days without a prescription. Some insurance plans require a referral to pay; we check yours and obtain the referral for you when needed.

How long is each appointment?

Evaluations run about 60 minutes; follow-up visits 40–55 minutes. You will never be handed a sheet of exercises and left alone with a timer.

Will the same therapist treat me every visit?

Yes — you're assigned one primary therapist for your whole plan of care, with one consistent backup you'll also meet.

What should I wear?

Clothes you can move in. Shorts for knee and hip problems, a tank or loose tee for shoulders and necks. We have private changing space, including a dedicated private suite.

Do you treat car accident injuries?

Yes — it's one of our core specialties. Michigan no-fault benefits cover accident-related therapy with no visit cap and typically no cost to you. We verify your claim before the first visit.

What insurance do you take?

Medicare, Medicare Advantage, BCBSM/BCN, Priority Health, HAP, Aetna, Cigna, UHC, Michigan Medicaid plans, all auto no-fault carriers, and workers' compensation. Full list on our insurance page.

What if my insurance visits run out?

We tell you your remaining visits at every stage — never a surprise. If benefits end before you're done, we offer published flat self-pay rates and a plan prioritized around what matters most.

Do you offer anything besides injury rehab?

Yes — wellness and recovery services, maintenance programs for chronic conditions like Parkinson's and arthritis, balance and fall-prevention training, and sports performance testing. Ask at the desk or join the waitlist for opening details.

Where exactly is the clinic?

44056 Mound Rd, Suite 103, Sterling Heights, MI 48314. Parking at the door, fully accessible, with evening and Saturday hours planned.

When do you open?

February 2027. The waitlist is open now — members get first choice of opening-week evaluation slots and priority scheduling for pre-booked post-surgical plans.
