Accessibility Statement
Recovery is for every body — and so is this website. Here's what we do to keep it usable for everyone, and how to tell us when something falls short.
Our commitment
Proof Physical Therapy aims for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA across this website and every patient-facing workflow on it. Accessibility is part of how each page is built — not an overlay added afterward.
What that looks like here
- Full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link on every page
- Semantic HTML landmarks, one clear heading structure per page, and descriptive page titles
- Text contrast meeting or exceeding WCAG AA ratios, and no information conveyed by color alone
- Layouts that reflow down to small screens without horizontal scrolling, and text that scales to 200%
- Reduced-motion preferences respected throughout
- Forms with visible labels, clear error identification, and status messages announced to screen readers
- Testing with automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) plus manual keyboard review on every release
Known limitations
Web fonts load from Google Fonts; if they fail to load, the site falls back to system fonts without loss of content. Our online scheduling system has not launched yet — when third-party booking or patient-portal tools are added, we will evaluate their accessibility and document any limitations here honestly.
Physical accessibility
Our Sterling Heights clinic is being built with an accessible entrance, accessible parking, fully accessible treatment spaces, and a private treatment suite available on request.
Found a barrier? Tell us
If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, we want to know. Use our contact form and mention "accessibility" — a real person reads every message and responds within one business day. When our phone line opens in January 2027, you'll be able to reach us by phone as well.
