Balance & Fall Prevention
One in four adults 65+ falls each year. Almost none of those falls are random — and most are preventable.
Falls have causes: strength, reaction time, vestibular function, vision-balance integration, medications, footwear. Our program measures each one, trains the trainable, and flags the rest to your physician. Medicare covers evaluation and skilled treatment when fall risk is documented — and our objective balance testing documents it properly.
What's included
- Computerized and standardized balance testing with real numbers
- Individualized strength + reaction training, progressed weekly
- Home-hazard and footwear review
- Re-testing that shows your risk score falling
Questions, answered
Does Medicare cover fall-prevention therapy?
Yes — when evaluation documents impaired balance or fall risk, skilled therapy to address it is covered like any other medically necessary care.
I haven't fallen yet — isn't this premature?
The best time is exactly now. 'Nearly fell,' 'furniture surfing,' and giving up activities out of caution are the warning stage where training works best.
How long is the program?
Typically 8–12 visits with a home program, then optional maintenance or wellness-membership follow-on to keep the gains.
