How we write about your health
Health content deserves a higher standard than marketing copy. Here is exactly how ours is produced, reviewed, and corrected.
Authorship
Content is written by the Proof Physical Therapy editorial team from current clinical practice guidelines and peer-reviewed evidence. We do not use invented authors, fabricated credentials, or fictional reviewers — if a name appears on our content, that person exists and did the work.
Clinical review
Every clinical guide carries a visible review status. Until our licensed clinical team is onboarded ahead of the February 2027 opening, guides are published as clinical review: pending. Before opening, each guide is reviewed by a Michigan-licensed physical therapist; the reviewer's name and review date are then added to the page. Guides are re-reviewed annually and whenever major guidance changes.
Evidence standards
We state what evidence supports — and what it doesn't. Where a treatment's evidence is established, emerging, or mixed, the page says so in those words. We do not publish outcome claims without a stated measurement, denominator, and timeframe, and we never publish fabricated outcomes, testimonials, or patient cases.
What we will not publish
- Guaranteed results or recovery timelines presented as promises
- Blanket insurance coverage claims — coverage always depends on your plan and medical necessity
- Technology marketed as a substitute for skilled assessment and active rehabilitation
- Future-dated content presented as already published (our build system blocks it automatically)
Corrections
If something is wrong, we fix it and say so. Report an error through our contact page; corrections are made promptly and material changes are noted on the affected page.
